Lamp Design

The lamp is called "El Notetta" and is made out of 3/4-inch plywood dowels. I spray-painted the dowels red and green to represent the colors of the Mexican flag. I took inspiration from Elena Reygadas, a Mexican chef recognized as the world’s best female chef. The design of the lamp reflects her work.

I created the lamp with seven layers of cubical rectangular plywood dowel silhouettes, symbolizing the seven notebooks she has released. These notebooks explore the relationship between food, health, and the environment. They are designed to help readers understand gastronomy and the importance of food in our lives.
