Introduction

Projection Identification: To design a consulate residence base on a member nation of the united states. Our goal is to Illustrate The Consul and her family country that are proud to have the opportunity to represent their country and to take their place among the United Nations' diplomatic community.

Thailand is famous for its beautiful beaches, rich culture, and incredible food, especially popular dishes like Pad Thai and Tom Yum. It has a wealth of historical sites

Client Description 

Is a Consul who is well published and an expert in her country’s culture and artistic heritage. She will be living with her Husband who is a writer of fiction and has limited mobility and requires a wheelchair. His full time 28 year old aide will be residing in the house. The couple has two children, a son who is 14 and daughter who is 12.

Neighborhood

Lenox Hill is on the upper east side, between central park to the west and the east river. It’s tree lined, brownstone-lined residential streets are clean, quiet, and peaceful. Lenox Hill is a neighborhood in Manhattan, New york city.

History

The neighborhood is named after Robert Lenox, a wealthy merchant and real estate investor who purchased a large plot of land in the area in the early 19th century.

Site & Building

The residence is located North of the United Nations in upper east side neighborhood in New York at 4 east 75th street. A five-story building, single family home. The windows face north and south. Completed in 1896 , the neo-French renaissance style building was designed by Trowbridge, Colt and Livingston Architects and built between 1895 and 1896.

Concept 

Balance And Harmony

This concept focuses on creating enlightened spaces that emphasize the beautiful culture of Thailand, drawing on the profound Thai cultural principles of enlightenment and Yin-Yang. It explores the harmonious balance between the spiritual and the material, inviting individuals to experience the rich traditions and values that define Thai identity.
